The Puffing Billy railway is an historic steam train that starts at Belgrave and runs through the mountainous region of the Dandenong Ranges. On selected weekends throughout the year, Thomas the Tank Engine trips are also run to entertain the kids.
Emerald Lake and its nearby park was originally a part of the historic Nobelius Nursery. Set within the hillside and native bushlands, the lake offers a number of scenic picnic grounds and walking trails, where you can picnic and take part in various outdoor activities.
The Emerald Market is the largest market found in the Dandenong Ranges and is held both indoors and outdoors. Held on the 3rd Sunday of the month, there is a huge range of goods from fresh and organic fruit and vegetables, plants and seedlings to food to take home including olive oils, jams, nuts and tea.
