THINGS TO DO
Emerald is home to an abundance of year round activities including the famous Puffing Billy Railway. Enjoy the stunning Emerald Park Lake or take a stroll throughout the many local markets on offer.
An international favourite, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival is one of the many local events held throughout the year. Other attractions include the Secret Gardens of the Dandenong Ranges and the Great Train Race.
We are a local family who love living in the hills and enjoy sharing the beauty of Emerald. When an opportunity arose to turn a run down business into something modern and unique, we created Emerald Star Cottages.
Less than an hour from Melbourne, the Dandenong Ranges is a whole life experience away, offering breathtaking scenery, romantic hideaways and indulgent adventures.
The Dandenong Ranges is a haven of hidden delights with scenic winding roads to quaint hilltop villages. There is an abundance of artist studios, craft stores and renowned gardens to explore as well as walking and cycling trails through mountain ash forests and clean, refreshing air.
You will find our lovely Reception/Shop located in the first barn as you drive into the property. The reception is not manned at all times, but we endeavour to be onsite between 10am-3pm every day and as required at other times of the day/night. Our Reception/Shop will showcase some unique items for you to purchase as gifts or as a memento of your stay in the lovely Dandenong Ranges.
